About a year ago, somebody told me about a place in ebay where you could look for restaurant gift certificates in your local area...I looked there and found a few..Now for the life of me I can't remember where it was or what category..My search has come up empty...I know I must be looking in all the wrong places...Can anyone share some light as to what category it is under...Thanks..

restaurant.com is #6 on the five month old top ebay feedback sellers list. If you click on #5 on the list ( eforcetrading ) it strangely reads ( 0 ) feedback so restaurant.com is probably the new #5 and looks to be #3 soon. Lots of repeat feedback with a 600,000 total.

My daughter often uses restaurant.com. She gets gift certificates from them for gifts. Depending on where you are located, you can get some really good deals. She is in the Baltimore/Washington area. Great deals!

I bought several $25 gift certificates to a local steak house for $2 ($1 bid and $1 processing fee), and gave them to neighbors for Christmas. I've since purchased several for myself. Never a problem with redeeming them. Such a deal!

Thanks for your help everyone...I looked on this site and it doesn't look familiar to me...I don't live in a large city which this site seems to cater to...The one I was in had some from my smaller city in PA...I'll keep looking I guess, it bugs the sh*t out of me...

a friend of mine told me about restaurant.com, he is a postcard collector and the name always came up when he was typing in the areas that he likes to collect. We have used them quite often, and have been very pleased. The last one we went to I received a thank you email with a buy one lunch get another free coupon, that won't be happening now for awhile because it is season here and the restaurants do not have to offer promotions. By the way my friend also told me he bought some postcards from some posters here and they were great, he now goes directly to their auctions.

I have purchased a number of gift certificate from restaurant.com with no problems.

Before you place your order at the restaurant I would double check to make sure they still honor the gift certificate.

Also look at the stipulations on the gift certificate as some are not good on the weekends or require a party of four or more.
