hi sanmar...8 entries..how did that happen?
PART A...........
..have another question[s] for you..was buyer confirmed and verified?
..is that prerequisite for you to ship in 24 hours?
..i applaude you for being able to meet buyer's needs..
PART B............
..finally, i am curious as to how many sellers offer [1] 24 hour turnaround, and [2], how many sellers wait til the paypal funds in the bank..

Hi all,
Although I don't specifically say so in my auctions, I nearly always ship next business day.
The auctions I closed last night were all paid by this morning and everything has been shipped.
Edited to add: Since I end auctions on Sunday, the next business day is Monday.

I also do the same. Pay me and I ship as soon as I can. I tried eBays invoice this last week. I didn't have many close, didn't have many on, but all paid immediately by PayPal and they are out the door today.

i recently bought something from a seller who only ships once a week and if that had been mentioned in her auction i would never have bid.

I started using PayPal to pay for auctions a couple of months ago. The first time I got my item within two days of the auction end I was in shock. I was so used to a couple of weeks or more while the check or money order was in transit and cleared. In the last few weeks I have had two items paid for the moment the auction closed that have not arrived after 2 weeks. In both cases the seller said they shipped right away but could not find the insurance/tracking number and will send me another item. Both were non-unique so it is possible but they both offered a "duplicate" right away.
Unless the listing promises same day or next day shipping I don't think it should be expected. We don't know the circumstances of every seller so can only demand reasonable turn around and communications if there is any delay.
I hope I am not being spoiled by PayPal to the point where I demand instant results. I have to keep track of the auctions where PayPal is not accepted so I don't panic in a week. I have not sold much in a couple of years and plan to start soon. Based on my own experience I think expectations for turnaround on eBay have changed since I did much selling and I have to reconsider my shipping terms.

hello all..
..question[s]..
.[1] 24 hour shipping-paypal?..if unconfirmed, do you ship anyway-or try communicate first.? or not ship at all?
.[2] i seldom ship same day..it seems everyone[most] trusts to ship, then wait til the money put in their account. i realize that something could just as easily go wrong after deposit made. i dont find anything wrong with "cutting myself some slack," in case i need it-i have never offered 24 hour shipping. so, DOES ANYONE, see it my way?
.[3] do you ever ship same day on certified, bank check, or money orders?
.[4] what type of widgets do you sell? [i not doing a market search]...size,whether need ups or usps, value would give me some comparison to me.
.[5] to photosensitive, not a question, but am finding more and more my cash flow is paypal..even on small items[just had a 2.24 item paid via paypal.]...so realistically speaking, and also POSITIVELY, you probably gonna end up spending more time accounting for those bundled deposits by paypal to your bank..than panicking over keeping track!!! have a nice day...

Myold toy, I usually ship out right away even if unconfirmed. So far, havent got burnt doing it. I sell collectables and what-nots though, usually under 30.00 each(but have had some go high as 80-100). I dont know if what I sell attracts good buyers or I have just been lucky.
I am waiting almost 10 days for an item I paid with paypal and its starting to annoy me. Very small thing, easy to ship, 1st class, etc. I dont think I will ever buy from this seller again because they are taking too long to post (and my pp is confirmed.)

I also live a 2 minute drive to a 24/7 post office. I almost always ship the same day or next day. I've only had a problem with a bounced check twice (one a paper check and one a paypal check) and I've been doing this almost 4 years now.
I also want to get it out of the house. I don't know why though becauase I just fill it up with more stuff!

I also ship within 24 hours, my cut off time is 12:00 noon. I am fortunate that my husband makes a post office run for me late afternoon, and we live close to the post office also. I sell a lot of the same items I know the shipping costs, I include them in my description, the majority of the times the people have paid by paypal. within the last month or so I started using the paypal post sale management and it I like it. I like the fact that it has a place to add a memo about the transaction.
Libra you mentioned that you just started using ebay invoices, how is that working for you? I know you mentioned in a previous thread that you send your own winning bidder notices, that's is what I do, it is time consuming but I do not know if I am ready to switch yet.

I have been using eBay invoices since the first of the year & like them. One advantage for me is the multiple sales to the same person show up, all you have to do is click on each box & Voila!, they are all totaled for you. You add tge cost of shipping & it is ready to send. On small items I am iusing "click & ship" If the value is less than $10.00. If over that I have to to PO for insurance. Myoldtoy, FYI I sello mainly china plus collectibles.
