I've been selling on eBay for over 5 years, and this is the first time I have heard this mentioned. Asked buyer for her address, she sent her email address, asked again for mailing address, and this is what she wrote
"Don't mean to make this as confusing as it seems but the post office here is the worst in the country. Trust me, I've lived in many places and never had to deal with the level of ignorance I find here.

So, the address is the one listed on my ebay "winning bid" page."
Where is that page and how do I look it up? Also, I have no idea what the post office has to do with anything!!

There is no place on Ebay where you can get another user's address. You can get their name, email address, city they live in and phone number. But you cannot get their address. They have to send that to you themselves. Jack is right. You're dealing with a moron.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

There are no complete address's there from what I remember ,city and state. I might be wrong and then again I might be right.....

How difficult could it be for the buyer to simply TYPE out their address?

And Ammber sorry,,,I worded that weird,, You are dealing with a moron....

Just send her a Bill.

When she pays you'll have the address.

On Check, M.O or paypal.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't think you could get someones full address anywhere on the site.
She has 11 feedback, so I guess she qualifies as a newbie.
Why is it so hard to give out their address? Some people have such a hard time giving it out, you wonder what they are thinking.

Not really. You won't need the address until you get paid. Then you need it.

stonecold, I like to address my packages as soon as I can, I find it less confusing to have my packages all ready to mail as soon as the payment arrives. I am disabled, and it takes me a long while to wrap breakables, so I do it as soon as the item is won, so I need the address. Most people are happy to send it right away, others seem to think it's a closely guarded secret.

She said - "Don't mean to make this as confusing as it seems but the post office here is the worst in the country. Trust me, I've lived in many places and never had to deal with the level of ignorance I find here." Maybe the reason she has so much trouble with the post office is because she expects them to deliver to her email address. I have a niece who used to send mail from Texas to Illinois addressed to Grandma ----, large city, IL. The strangest thing is that it was delivered. Guess someone in the post office knew them.

If you or the buyer have completed the ebay invoice, then the address is right there on the "winning bid page", which is probably the auction page.

On your "my ebay" page there is a column headed: Next steps/status. If an invoice was sent or requested it shows and you can get the address there.

She probably did that?
