I am not sure if this necklace is worth listing.

It has a label Trifari, and is marked $39.50, never worn. Would it be called Art Deco? It has a heavy chain, not sure what kind, I have very little jewelry expertise!

Art Deco?

No, it's contemporary. Brand new. There's nothing Deco or Nouveau about the style.

$39 NWT TRIFARI 6MM GOLDTONE OMEGA BOW NECKLACE

That's assuming it is in fact goldtone and an Omega chain. I can't really tell from the picture. Omega width is measured in millimeters.

See this auction for an example of an Omega chain:

It measures 70 millimeters in width, the bow is enamelled I think. It is not exactly brand new, I have had it for many years, just not my style.
Fluffy, it's not exactly like the Omega chain on the link, it's heavy, looks more like a snake if you know what I mean.

It is worth listing. Check the mark. If there is a crown on top of the T then it is a Crown Trifari piece. I sell a lot of Trifari jewelry and do quite well.

I think this picture is a bit clearer.

hey,i know one seller on ebay, she is a real pro,she would place a red flower next to it on satin sheet ,sometimes drape the jewelry over a large pice of amethyst crystal and said-welcome,welcome,welcome---------

It's too new to be a crown Trifari piece.

Okay, then try selling it as "New Old Stock".

Rather than take $10 for it, plus shipping, why not recycle it as a present to someone else? It could be a gift to a child's teacher or at a workplace gift exchange at Christmas. Beats paying a couple of dollars in fees to eBay and you save any postage error.

Parklane, thanks for the suggestion. My kids have long since left school, and one little problem, it was a gift to me, but I'm not sure who from! I would hate to return it to someone who gave it to me!

This is what I would do. Save it so that if you get other pieces of Trifari or just other nice pieces of jewelry. Put it in a lot. I start my lots at %2.00 each piece then I put a BIN on it for double. i.e. 4 pieces at $2.00 each is $8.00 then I would put a BIN on it for $16.00. The BIN only costs 5 cents and if someone really wants any of the pieces in your lot they will use the BIN.
