I had 2 negative FB left for me about a year ago. I have over 3000 positive. For some reason 1 of the negatives was removed. I don't know why. Is there some kind of automatic negative FB removal after a certain time period?

Shhhhh!!! Don't speak too loudly. If a neg from a year ago disappeared it's probably because Ebay screwed up somehow. This is one mistake you don't want them to correct. Did the actual feedback itself disappear or did it convert to a neutral? It used to be that when a member became NARU, the feedback they left for others would convert to neutral. They may have run a restore from an old backup somewhere.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Could it be it just expired off the One Year Displayed table?

If you go to the following site, you can search for old negatives and see if they are still there.

Be sure and let it track more than 1000.

Let us know.

Does a negative ever just disappear? If so, I wonder why I still have one negative (only one I've ever gotten) that was received way back in January of 2000. I have 836 positives. Is there some point where they wipe it off your record? Kinda like with a speeding ticket?

cta: Don't I wish that would happen

My 1 negative is from 1998. The first month I was on Ebay I mistakenly (I say "mistakenly" because I thought that was what you were supposed to do and was new enough to not know what would happen when I did) left a neg for a deadbeat. Of course, I got one right back along with threatening emails filled with not so flowery words

I have never left another one (although I do file NPB every time) and I have never gotten another negative.

But, that one ugly red mark still stands there with my 1,340 positives

I hate it so bad I started a new Ebay ID last year, and now have over 880 (all positives) on my new one

eBay has a negative removal policy now if agreed to by both parties. Would imagine there is red tape involved and you would have been notified. Just a thought......

gousainc, I went to that site and it only shows 1 Negative total. I'm not complaining, but I just found it odd that one would just drop off like that.

Thanks
