myoldtoy	posted on March 23, 2004 06:02:24 AM ALL RIGHT YOU GUYS, WHAT WENT WRONG? on 3.18, i posted the following; " probably been asked many times b4, but please answer for me...i have to make a paypal refund[against paypal purchase]...when i issue the refund against my account; will paypal charge me 3percent for the refund? thanks in advance. myoldtoy" ---------------------------------------- auction was $215.15, refund was for same amount..paypal issued credit to customer for $208.61... --------------------------------------------- of course, customer expects additional refund...which i dont really have a problem with, but please review and give me some input...i have tried to contact paypal twice and dont have reply as yet... ------------------------------------- thanks, myoldtoy

lifeizgood	posted on March 23, 2004 07:08:57 AM Did you hit "Refund" at the bottom or did you "Create" as you say the refund by sending to their email address. If you hit Refund on the bottom of the page then all fees should be reversed. If you sent them the total back by sending to their email address directly and called it a refund, then yes, there will be fees.
