once again this week, i get the same email questions from a handful of bidders: "for some reason, paypal will not process my payment to you...blah, blah, blah..." or "I paid using paypal, but the address isn't correct. please send it to blah blah blah..."
hello??? can they simply read the auction where it states in plain clear English that I will only accept Paypal for USA payments with confirmed addresses, and will only ship to the confirmed address. Not only is this in the TOS, but it is also in the checkout. They simply ignore it, then they get angry with me and then ask me the same follow-up questions: "Well, can you make an exception?" Or, "I assure you my credit card isn't stolen," or even better, "Other sellers do that, I have never had this problem before." or my favorite, "Your gonna have to accept it, otherwise I can't pay you."
Since when did the Bidder make their own terms of payment up? Perhaps they should have a "WANTED" items section for ebay, where the buyer can make their own terms when they pay for the listing. Until then, I plan to stick to my guns and shoot down these morons one at a time. I'm about to get militant when issuing NPB warnings.

LOL Rusty - I have been dealing with a sudden rash of UK bidders with the same problem. I emailing me after the end of auction with news that they will be paying by one of the two forms of payment that I specifically state that I do not use. One is simply irrate that I will not accept her personal cheque, most of the others are working with me to find other forms ofnpayment that works for both of us.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

My rules are pretty simple.
International: Money Orders or Western Union Auction Payments Only. No Paypal No Checks.
US: Paypal only if address is confirmed and I am shipping to the confirmed address. I accept PP, WUAP, Checks, Money Orders, Cashiers Checks. NO alternative addresses with Paypal payments.
How hard is that to understand? I would say I am pretty flexible with giving everyone a quick and/or inexpensive way of making payment. Really... how hard is that to understand?
