How do you find out the rate of insurance for international shipments. I have a item I sold to italy and they want insurance for it. I can not find a place on the USPS web site to get this information.
Thanks!

USPS insurance for overseas mail is the same as domestic .
for registered mail, there is a limit on country basis.
no insurance coverage is offered on global priority mail .

Canada is the same as the US; however, remaining international is higher. Here is a chart with the international insurance rates from the USPS...

Honestly, I don't know. International customers asking for insurance are a rarity for me.
Actually, I just had my first request for international insurance about two weeks ago. I couldn't find anything on the website (the navigation of the USPS website leaves a lot to be desired!), so asked one of the postal clerks - and she didn't know LOL! I came home, determined to find it - and finally did. AND I printed the chart off for my PO so they wouldn't be so clueless next time.
