I can't print. I just put in a new black ink cartridge. It tells me to align cartridges. When I put the page the printed out on the glass and press enter - I get a message that says "Error: align page not detected".
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I can copy - but I can't print (except it will print a self-test report and the align cartridge page)
Edited to add: This is Ebay related because I can't print my shipping labels. AAAARRRGH!

"Alignment page not detected" errors
The "Alignment page not detected" message will appear on all-in-ones that have a semi-automatic alignment process if the alignment page cannot be scanned correctly. This can occur if the page is not oriented correctly of if it skews too much on scroll fed all-in-ones while feeding into the automatic document feeder (ADF). Follow the steps below to determine the problem.
Verify the orientation and position of the alignment page. It should be printed side down and placed on the scanner glass or in the ADF as shown in the product manual.
Press Enter or OK after the alignment page has been repositioned.
If the error message continues to occur even though the page is oriented correctly and is not skewing while feeding (on scroll feed products), press Cancel to exit the alignment process, and then try to make a copy. If a copy cannot be made, contact HP for assistance.

I have the same printer and I have had the same problem- Have you tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it- I will never buy another HP product- this is not the first one of theirs we have had a problem with- and of course their customer service is outsourced so if you do have to call them good luck getting someone who understands what you are saying-

Well, Stop, I guess I've failed... Tried to get a translation for you, either Hindu or Gujarati (my daughter-in-law's native language) and couldn't find anything.
