I put up a 1933 Mein Kampf (book 2) auction that eBay ended. According to their rules it was canceled because it is in German (I did include the required statement that I would not ship to Germany, etc.). Any ideas on how I can find buyer for it?

Ebay will let you sell Mein Kampf if it is in English, but not if it is in German. Strikes one as somewhat arbitrary.

If it's in German and from 1933, Ebay is classifying it as a Nazi item and that's a no-no.

been there done that with ebay ... German/WWII/swastikas ... it is very hard to determine what will be whacked off by ebay, but MOST of it will.

I sold a book the Diary of Anne Frank in German from 1947 and it didn't get pulled. I wonder if someone didn't turn you in. Or maybe my book was legal. I don't know but it did sell. Is there another seller selling the same book if so maybe they turned you in.

Ebay rules say explicitly that you can't sell Mein Kampf if it is in German. They have a bunch of other rules for selling it in another language. This is bugging me because it's worth good money.

Ebay has some kind of bot that automatically searches for stuff like this and kills the auctions. No human intervention required.

Maybe you should try it on Amazon?

Choose "Only ship to good ole USA" and in the description state Only for sale to American skinheads... p.s. these books were once pretty common in Germany even with AH's signature. Mao's "Little Red Book" was also popular in the Middle Kingdom too!

Gee, maybe you could sell it along with the eopard-lay kin-skay at-hay languishing in a certain someone's storage unit.
