Well, I got curious about the source of my spoof email, mentioned on the other thread. Nosed around the site (a Taiwan education one).
By going through the email addies available there, I discovered that the "mail.fnjh.tcc.edu.tw" mentioned in the source code belongs to the TAICHUNG HSIEN FENGNAN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL at No. 151, Feng S. St., Fengyuan City, Taichung, Taiwan 420, R.O.C.
I'm wondering if I should email the school, attaching the spoof email, and let them know I've reported the attempted fraud by someone using their computers....?
Or maybe I could forward it on to the Taichung Police Dept.'s "Criminal Investigation Corps."

I think it's a great idea to notify the school, and maybe the police, too.
If you're concerned about retaliation into your e-mail, you could go to the public library and use one of their computers, I suppose.

I tracked one down once.
Reported them to the school and to their ISP for abuse.
Don't know if it did any good, but I figured it couldn't hurt!
It was a USA school and ISP.
You will find a lot of these Ebay scams come from schools!

Doesn't [email protected] track them down when we forward the notices on? They certainly could do as much as Bunni did! I always thought that was why we were supposed to foward them!

Well, eBay must have done something about it.
I just got back home and went to forward the email to both the school and the Taichung police. When I opened the email again to do so,I discovered that the GIF which made up the body of the letter instead of text had disappeared! Evidently it was linked to an online image host--and it has been taken down.
Another one bites the dust.
