I've just sold a board game to someone who wants me to send it Media Mail to Puerto Rico and says it's a USA address located in San German, PR 00683 - Huh? I don't think a board game is considered book-rate material, and last time I checked, PR is not in the US of A. Maybe I'm missing something or has something changed? This guy has me doubting myself now.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. You are right about a board game not being media mail. I'm afraid I don't know you well enough to know if you're losing your mind.

Since I really don't you, its possible that both questions could be answered with a YES, or a NO, or MAYBE. Everyone is correct in saying this is not Media Mail.

Guam is also a US Territory, zone 8,
US domestic rates apply there as well as Puerto Rico just in case you get a buyer.
A board game is not media mail. Don't let the buyer talk you into anything.

You can also send the board game with DC to PR. You are best to send it Priority with EDC. You make your own shipping charges, not the buyer. He/she bid, now its time to pay up.

If it were a heavy item, you could ship it FedEx Ground to PR. What really surprised me was just last week, I found out you can ship FedEx Ground to Hawaii!! And their rates are competitive with Priority mail on heavier items. Calif to Honolulu, 4 business days delivery.
