I've never used it because I have customers that send checks and money orders. They can pay by check with PayPal, but right now that's a mess. I had a customer pay by check on the 18th and it is still not cleared through PayPal. I don't know what's up, but 5 days is plenty of time. It was supposed to clear on the 21st.
Why not try it on just a couple of your auctions and see how it goes? I'd be interested in other's opinions about this as well. NPB's have been on a steady rise, no doubt.

Yes, NPBs are at an all time high for me as well. I have tried the "Buy & Pay now" option as a buyer and really felt pressured, that could just be me. I know that about 1/4 of my auctions end with the buyer sending a MO or Cashiers check to me so that would have blown them out of the water. (One buyer buys 4 or 5 items at a time and has the payment to me faster than some Pay Pal buyers)

Cheryl, wow, I have an e check through PayPal still pending since the 16th! But dummy me went and sent it out on the 17 because I wanted all the packages out, so I could go out and not worry about mailing.
I keep checking PayPal and it still shows uncleared and it says 'expected to clear July 21' and its the 23rd.
I already got feedback from this person too.
I surely hope its a PayPal glitch and not a bounced e check (if there is such a thing? )

I too have more NPBs--not a lot but definitely more than I usually have, which is zero.
I take for granted that replies to EOA messages will be slower in the summer, on average, because people take vacations. But the NPBs, all US by the way, are distressing.

I am curious as to the reason for the alleged rise in NPBs. It could be people angry at eBay, the season, Newbies, flaws in eBay and/or Paypal, the economy(right), or something else. What is happening?
