I would probably be a millionaire, especially during the summer. I am averaging about 3-6 disputes a week right now. Amazing! That is about 10-20% of my bids I am filing these disputes on, and to make matters worse, about half of those disputes are for people with a history of good feedback.

You're mot alone, I can't believe the number of NPB's that have popped out of the woodwork this summer. I'm having a hard time keeping track as I have never had the problem to this extent before.

It is truly amazing. I've never seen such a high percentage of NPBs. I was blown away when I realized how much the actual dollar amount was when I totalled it up. Then I'm having payment sent to me weeks after the fact. A lot of newbies, but also people with some good history. Are there just so many new people up on ebay this summer? What's the deal?

this new system doesn't simplify it either. I now get tons of response through the dispute system. Yet this is all it reads, "The bidder informs us that they will be paying for their item." Uh, yeah... but when and how? What is my guarantee? How long do I have to wait before I relist it?

I'm having the same problem. I filed one dispute a week ago and then today got an e-mail that said I didn't realize I had bought this from you. I wrote her back "How did you not know you bought a Buy It Now? You had to click on the button and then confirm you wanted it. Then you got an e-mail for me, then a reminder." Haven't heard back from this one.
Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.

And yet Pierre says, "People are basically good."

Of course, he's saying that while sitting on a fat cash cushion of a billion dollars or more.

I have this little fantasy in which Pierre loses his fortune and has to turn to eBay selling to make a living.

I have a few slow payers right now,but some areas you sell in on E-Bay are the pits I have been there. It seems people coming to the Flea Market don't want to pay for anything either, want it for free. Where I live, last year they finally put an end to the free ride of paying your water and gas bills when you get around to it...now its $450.00 deposit to get it turned on. Glad I rent, but I wouldn't want to be a Landlord..Your have to pay any utility bills your tentants leave behind by law.
