Well, I think I am starting out the Blue Moon on a good note. I finally got to close out on a NPB today!! YEA! Also, I guess that I was lucky #3 and she is NARU. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Blocked her anyway, just in case. See, good things do happen for those who wait forever.

Edit: Sorry, didn't know. Fixed it.

Kevin...I have one That I'm getting ready to close. The seven days runs out this evening, and she still has not responded. What will happen? Will my FVF automatically be refunded or will I have to request it? This is a first for me under the new system.

If you go to the disputed items page, click on "view" or "details"--something like that, at the left side of the auction title, you can see the details and close the deal there. (Easier to do than to describe with words!) You won't have to request FVF, it's sort of automatic.

You have to go to the Related Links section and click the "Unpaid Item Disputes" link that is on the left hand side of your My Ebay page. That will get you to your disputes page and then you need to click "view" on the auction that you are disputing. Once in that window you need to click "Close Dispute" and then check the right reason. I left a note on mine saying that the bidder never contacted me. Then you should be all done. Hope that this helps.

Adele and Kevin...Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure that was how it worked. I did exactly as you said. When I got to the page to select an option and close the dispute, the only option on the page was "Dispute closure
We've completed the transaction and we're both satisfied.
A Final Value Fee credit is no longer needed. The buyer will not get an Unpaid Item strike." There were no other options. Needless to say, I didn't close it, and I won't until I can figure out how to get my FVF and give the deadbeat a strike. The full seven days have passed as of 30 minutes ago so I don't know what the hangup is.

I would let it ride for another day. Mine was a day and a half after the "7" days. You know that ebay is going to be as slow with that page as possible. But... it is supposed to be so much easier?!?!??

Sparkz -

When I filed mine, I had to wait until the next day (8th day) before I could close it and get my FVF.

Evidently eBay isn't counting it exactly to the hour anymore.

There MUST be some RULES,,,,mandated by some HIGHER authority RE: auctions that e bay is (evasivily as possible)attempting to adhear to. They have obviously found some LOOP holes in it. Therefore they use EVERY Hoop to make this a difficult task.

As I see it, Not knowing any ethical LAWS governing Auctions,,,,there MUST be some on the books, otherwise they would Not even offer these refunds. ( I am again Sorry to say this again but if not, and possibly ONLY because of some regulation WE are not aware of) They must be border lining these rules, laws, whatevers.

They SAY they make these enhancement for OUR benefit. I think not. Any and all, changes are a direct benefit to,,,,,,,,,,,,THEM.

perhaps someone can shed some light on State laws RE: Auctions and what they must legally do and NOT do.

.2 cents.

I think the difficulties is a purposeful and blatant attempt to (and it seems to be working) burn people out on completing these NPB refunds.

.4 cents.

There IS more to this than we are aware of...It WAS extremely EASY to do before. It's been made MORE difficult for a reason.

And the Beat goes on,,,,,,,,

Jack...We'll all get used to the new system, just like we did the old one the last time they changed it. When we wise up and get with the program, and it starts becoming a simple task, it'll start costing Ebay more money in FVF refunds and they will change it again. You can win in any poker game if you stack the deck in your favor, which is what Ebay is doing.
