Hi, all. A Canadian buyer has paid for an item through PayPal, with a credit card. It's been about a day but the payment is not showing up in my account. Does a CC transaction take longer? I think this is my very first PayPal problem. . . .

I've had some trouble with payments showing up the last 2 days. I had 3 payments yesterday that I didn't even get emails for until today. I think there is something up with PayPal's system.

Roadsmith...It usually takes them a couple days to process a transaction when a foreign bidder uses a stolen credit card. Don't worry, it'll probably show up tomorrow and it will be safe to ship

This email confirms that you, dynacard, have paid XXXXX $31.70 USD using PayPal.
This credit card transaction will appear on your bill as "PAYPAL".

[followed by payment details]. Looks on the up and up to me. I'll try to relax for another day or two and see if it shows up.
And thanks, Sparkz. Sure HOPE it isn't a stolen CC!

THe buyer should have a transaction id #. Have you tried to search your account for that transaction (History tab->Advanced search->choose transaction id in the pull down and put in the number. If you received it, it shoud be there.

I would ask your buyer to check their account to make sure that they sent it to the right account. Sometimes one number can be off and could be somebody elses account.

Thanks, everybody! This has ended well, thank goodness. The buyer (speaks only French!!!) made an error in the e-mail address for me. The money has come in, and I've sent the item today, so all's well that ends well. I've learned a lot from all of you through this process, though, not the least of which is that selling a low-end item to Canada, 6 pounds, via global express, with two customs forms, etc. etc., is NOT worth my time!

once you get used to the international trading thing it is not bad and they pay top dollar for the items. We deal in ebay and other venues all the time internationally. When the US economy is in the tank some weeks my only sales are international so go figure. Think global its a small world.
