As per my posts in recent days, my selling account was recently suspended and all 42 active auctions cancelled as a result. My ebay bill is usually charged to the credit card I have on file with them, but as their email below indicates, their billing has been "behind." So because THEY neglected to charge me, I was exiled to NARU-land.
I have yet to succeed in re-starting any of my cancelled auctions (thanks to those who offered how-to suggestions -- unfortunately I could not get them to work). I see no alternative but to re-list all 42 from scratch -- an entire day's lost labor, as my items are all one-of-a-kind.
All because of ebay's billing error.
I would suggest to others that if their ebay fees are normally charged to their on-file credit card, that they CLOSELY and actively monitor this billing process, lest their account fall into suspension as mine did.
Here is the text of the friendly and helpful response I received today as a result of my complaint to ebay about their negligence:
Hello,
Thank you for writing to eBay about your invoice.
We apologize for any trouble that this may have caused you. As you
know, invoicing has been behind schedule this past month. Because of
this, eBay made a decision not to charge you for the past due amount in
an effort to avoid duplication of any recent payments you've made to
your account. [A reference to the fact that I did a quick Paypal cash transfer to cover my arrearage after I was already suspended.] Since payment has been made, your account suspension has
been lifted and you are able to list again on the site. Please
undertand that since your item were ended by eBay, they have been
removed from the system and cannot be reinstated.
Thank you for your patience while we get the payments caught up on your
account.
Warmest regards,
Stephen H.

I love the part about how ebay elected not to charge me for past-due amounts in order to avoid duplication of other payments that I made. Notice that the email glosses over a few issues -- like how their lack of charging me in the first place forced me to MAKE that direct payment. And clearly, there is no assurance that this same thing could not happen again in the future -- to me, or to you.
