Hi, nearly fell for this one! Popped into my in box this afternoon:

Non-Paying Bidder (NPB) warning

Dear eBuyer:

Congratulations on your winning bid for eBay item 2471719829. Your seller, has informed eBay that your payment hasn't been received yet.You and your seller are encouraged to work things out in the next 10 days. If this situation is resolved during this time, the matter is dropped and you do not need to take any further action.
If, however, your seller is still unsatisfied after this period, you may receive a Non-Paying Bidder (NPB) warning from eBay. Once you obtain three warnings on your record your account will be suspended indefinitely.

I was immediately suspicious especially as it didn't give the sellers name and I knew I hadn't bought anything that I hadn't paid for. I copied the auction no. and did a search which of course came up invalid. I could have entered my details in a panic to find out what it was. Luckily I didn't. The wan*/@% are getting more cunning. Be careful!

Plus, they be gorking to ancient Hx -- NPB are a THING OF THE PAST!

Now, in this enlightened age, we have UNPAID ITEMS -- and the time frame (if the deadbeat doesn't respond) is 7+7

Thanks...this might be the message my "paid by cash" customer received from PayPal. I e-mailed him about this possibility and only hope he didn't fall for it and send all the info...

CRAZZZZY spoofy emails y'all are getting today .... we must all be vigilant to watch for these sort of things .... God help the people that are clueless and worry and click on those links .... their life will be turned upside down.

...... just today at our fam picnic I was talking about all these "spoof" emails (i always thought 'spoof' is supposed to be something 'funny'?, but these are surely not) ......... i was saying that I get numerous ones, every single day, and that i am tired of 'forwarding them' .... and just lately, i only forward MAYBE half of them, other half "delete" ... ... it's like, 'hey, i got work to do, and ... i got a life' ... 'i don't have time to keep forwarding all of these, when APPARENTLY it isn't doing much good.'

Am i wrong?
