Well I just took a quick look at that board. Appears they are ALL frustrated over e bays lack of involvement with any of their stated problems. Being e bay has NO interest on there OWN board why in the World would we want to believe they EVER bother reading ANYTHING here.

Sorry but I have no desire to get involved with that board. Looks like garble goop to me BUT someone should go over there and kick up some dust over these IMPORTANT issues that have risen here, second chance thing..Dangerous! basically that their WHOLE security system is going SOUTH.

Yup Sparks is right some News Media Tiger is gonna grab hold of these infidelities of e bay and have a REAL field day exposing ALL these holes.

The sooner they DO the BETTER, least then we know when to pull up stakes ahead of time.

they gonna DO something or just let their customers get taken DAY by DAY. spoofs. lies and deception.

well Jack, I decided I'm going to get rid of all the inventory I had stored and then quit selling on Ebay unless it's that *rare* and *once in a lifetime* item.

I'd already quit months and months ago selling those under $9.99 items. If it didn't bring or least have a chance at bringing $100. I wasn't going to fool with it.

It just really brought it home to me today when I read the Marine thread about the spoof PP payment and then on top of that, receiving my second 2nd chance bogus email that...

The Party's OVER.

Maybe somebody will institute a better auction system. It's clear today and right here that Ebay's not going to do it.

There used to be bidders with real feedback buying and selling and now there's a bunch of NPB's.

My email to Ebay said that the emails I got proved that Ebay was no longer "a safe trading community".

SELL that Ebay stock.

It's sad to say but scammers have taken over IMHO.

Jack

That board is worthless. There's more slamming going on over there than there is on the RT board here.

Not that it makes much difference overall, but that wasn't a spoof that Marine posted. It is the WBN that the Vendio auto system sends out sending the buyer to your Vendio checkout.

glassgrl, I can tell you that having eBay slam the door on you suddenly is a real hit financially. It is the smart seller that eases away from their cash flow trap. I decided to not worm my way back into eBay's good graces because I wanted independence, not just to be under yet somebody else's boot. I am glad I made the call, although my wife griped about the money not coming in as fast.

When eBay was new it was like a freshly filled swimming pool. As time has gone by, the water has gotten muddier, algae is thriving, and there are beau coup mosquitoes. Plus they have let bullies in, and the ones they have given the bums rush are coming back for revenge. Everybody is busy enhancing the gate, when what they really need is security and maintenance.

It's not rocket surgery.

Well, thank heavens for eBay in the early days! eBay in the early years really gave us a foundation and foot hold in e-commerce. Since back in the eBay stone age we could link to our web sites, it helped our original site grow, so that it is a strong, firm, financially profitable site today.

eBay now, well, we post from time to time, but certainly wouldn’t want our income to be determined by the twist, turns, and whims of eBay today. We now “use” eBay, not the other way around.

It is sad what eBay has become, but I am thankful for what it once was.
