IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR DA "THREAD POLICE:" Since Ralphie's gorgeous photographic portrait appears on my eBay "ME" page, this thought-provoking (NTM: gut-wrenching) thread is OBVIOUSLY feeBay related!

Did you read the news item today about a man in Florida who was shooting puppies "because he couldn't find them a home" and one of the pups he was holding stuck its paw in the trigger guard and shot the guy in the hand! He was arrested on animal cruelty when he got out of the emergency room. The remaining pups and mama dog are up for adoption at the local humane society. Oh, and I think the guy checked eBay from time to time. At least, one of the humane society workers checked eBay. Perhaps the reporter did an article on eBay.

Animal activist people don't think of their animals or any other animals as, Animals!
They think of them as PEOPLE sometimes even better!
The ASPCA and others, will now throw your Ass in Jail faster for doing something to an Animal than they will for doing the same thing to a Fellow Human.
The Woman should NOT be charged with ANYTHING!
She in her mind was ensuring her pets health!
Why else would anyone do this?
She wasn't Sodomizing the animal, She Was Doing A PAP Smear!

Give you a good Example:
Locally about 2 years ago a man caught a RAT in a HaveAHeart trap.
Called animal rescue to pick it up.
No one came!
The RAT died in the trap.
Animal rescue finally showed up, long enough after the fact for the RAT to die!
The man received $1,000.00 in fines and 3 months in Jail for killing the RAT!
Sentence Suspended.
Ended up doing 1 year Probation!
Absolute B.S.
Who should go to jail or get a criminal record for Killing A Rat!!

Out at my end of the beach is a feral cat population. ltray called the pound and got a humane cat trap to trap them with. They told her she had to feed and water them for however long it took them to pick them up from her house. They have over run my neighborhood. One just had 6 kittens the other day.
OTOH here's a news brief:

The four surviving puppies are being treated at the Escambia County Animal Shelter.
PENSACOLA, Florida (AP) -- Nice shootin', Rex!
A man who tried to shoot seven puppies was shot himself when one of the dogs put its paw on the revolver's trigger.
Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, was charged with felony animal cruelty, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday. He was being treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound to his wrist.
Bradford said he decided to shoot the 3-month-old shepherd-mix dogs in the head because he couldn't find them a home, according to the sheriff's office.
On Monday, Bradford was holding two puppies -- one in his arms and another in his left hand -- when the dog in his hand wiggled and put its paw on the trigger of the .38-caliber revolver. The gun then discharged, the sheriff's report said.
Deputies found three of the puppies in a shallow grave outside Bradford's home, said sheriff's Sgt. Ted Roy.
The other four appeared to be in good health and were taken by Escambia County Animal Control, which planned to make them available for adoption.

As the owner of an 1100 pound "puppy" horse...who while I love him dearly, does get treated with the highest respect: I treat him like livestock...
I do not understand why people don't take $40- $50 of their beer/cig/other bad habit kitty and spay or neuter their pets.
Instead, he has to shoot the dogs in the head.
What a pure loser.
DOSB...why not just poisen the rat, or set out a good ratter. Better than starving a rat.
Oh I could go on, so many free puppies and kittens, and not enough good homes!
SPAY AND NEUTER PLEASE!

A shepard mix that shot a no good SOB? There's not a seller on Ebay that wouldn't want a dog like that guarding their inventory. He would certainly get the red carpet treatment in my home.

I've seen it all to many times & all my pets are rescues from people just like that.
It is so sad because these animals love & need to depend on their owners.

Oh what I wouldn't give to have "shooter" & the rest of his family, Mom too.
I wish the law would allow the hospital to deny this worthless piece of trash treatment for his mangled hand.
As for the rat, it hurts so much to think how that poor thing suffered. I hate people who mistreat any kind on animal & wish the worse for them in every way.

McJane...Shooter...What a perfect name for that pup. Too bad Ebay prohibits selling live animals. If they could list this dog, and the rest of the litter, along with the full story, that humane society could probably raise enough money to save a thousand homeless pets. Wonder if meg would give a special dispensation?

This is one time Meg should make that exception.
I shouldn't tell this story because it's so hard to take, but the ending is wonderful,
happened a few weeks ago in Philadelphia.
A man walking by a river saw a dog bobbing up & down & flagged down a police car.
The officer went into the river & rescued the dog which turned out to be a Boxer pup.
The pup was tied by a rope to a submerged log with just enough length so he could struggle & bob for air.
He was taken to a hospital & was found to have tight rubberbands around each paw cutting off circulation & a broken leg. The doctor said he appeared to have been in the river for several hours.
The little guy made a full recovery while money & calls for adoption poured in. We were treated on the news to day by day reports & pictures of his progress. He was such a sweet happy little thing, imagine to be able to forgive humans for the torture that was done to him in his young life.
Guess who adopted the pup, the officer who rescued him.
There is a reward out for whoever did this & even execution would be too good for this piece of garbage. I could actually commit murder if I could get my hands on this person. Anyone who does things like this should never be let out of jail.
Believe me they will catch this person & punishment is promised to be very severe.
If he has been caught I haven't heard.
