My ebay auctions that ended today, Sunday, were the first ones in which I used the Vendio gallery, because I thought the click throughs would increase bids. Long story short, I gave away most of my books today. Bids were way down from last and previous weekends. Could be coincidence, but I need to know if I should remove the code from my current listings. I cannot afford to give books away this coming weekend also. Hits were down too, so maybe that is an indicator of just fewer shoppers or buyers having problems with eaby search pages opening or something of the like. Anyone with experience to share or knowledge of ebay problems this past week?

I didn't list any items to end tonight--on purpose, because I figured that people were just recovering this week from the Labor Day weekend, getting kids off to school, etc., and wouldn't have time to shop collectibles on Ebay.
But overall, I'm very very very happy with the Vendio Gallery. Give it another month or so. It may just be that this was a slow Ebay week.

I appreciate your reply and want to agree. I really like the gallery and I did just notice other sellers (with and without Vendio) with fewer listings or lower ending bids this week. I was just checking the nonfiction book listings and seems there are much fewer items with bids than usual.
Bids were so low I freaked out a little about causing my own self problems. I checked the ebay boards and didn't see many complaints from other sellers, so I thought it was me. I have only sold the books for about a year, so I don't know the ups and downs that holidays, etc. can cause. I did see complaints about slow loading ebay pages, so I assume that could have possibly contributed to the problem. Ebay's new spyware is quite annoying also.
Nice to know there are level headed sellers out there willing to give encouragement. Thank you very much.

I just signed up for Vendio Gallery a week ago also, and my bids were way down since, but I think it is just a coincidence. I have over 170 listings including my store, and in the last 4 days I've had 6 bids! I am hoping things will pick up this week.

I agree, Wendy. Feels eerie with ebay so dead right now. A good time to buy stuff to resell!
I am praying for us all. I hate breaking even. It's feast or famine, isn't it?
I found more complaints on ebay's message boards about pages loading very slowly and people having to log in every time they go to a new page. I suffer through it because this is my job, but I can see why bidders would just go away and try some other time.

Hi Teresa! It's just eBay. Feast or famine is right. I have been selling since 1998. Oh, those halcyon early days! Everything you listed got multiple bids and sold high. Now, it comes and goes with no particular cadence. It does seem very slow right now, as opposed to last week (for me). Keep on listing, this week might be great (or not).

It seems much slower this week to me also,I've got a lot of new items and will attempt to sell them anyway.

Ebay has been slow for me as well, since the Holiday weekend. It was the same way last year, for me anyway. I've stocked up my ebay store and, actually sold more out of it this past week than I did all of last month. None of it was big ticket items, just small, cheap to send stuff. I think that the "Just Looking" crowd used the gallery and ended up finding a few low priced items that they couldn't live without. All of this mirrors my B&M store. Dead this time of year! It starts picking up next week, after the middle of the month payday. Just my 2 cents worth.
