As Vendio no longer works with Webtv, I`ve searched around, found www.inkfrog.com, seems to work just fine! Vendio, please don`t delete this post, I`m just trying to help fellow Webtv`rs keep listing, we like to eat as much as PC or MAC people. Mike

classic Crock, butt out, PC nazi<snicker> what do you know about my finances? Ths is for all the Webtv`rs that are having a very Large problem listing now that Vendio altered it`s format. Funny to you maybe, not to us, being put out of business by a site we relied on for years!

I've been at inkfrog for a long time & love it.
I also used to be on webtv plus & while the unit is cheaper your ISP is expensive. About four years ago I bought a computer that could access the internet, had an old one that couldn't, & I did it because there was free Internet access, not anymore though. In the long run a computer pays off because I only pay 9.93 a month for my ISP & the extra money you pay for webtv plus could go towards payments on a computer. It's like getting it free.
Just something to think about in the future.
Webtv is nice & easy to use & I did like it, but I think it should be cheaper to use.

CURIOSITY QUESTION: how do Web'sters store photos? If ya have no hard drive, where do ya put them before uploading??

I used WebTV from 1998 to 2003, and although slow there are other advantages. Wireless keyboard lets you sit on the couch while listing or e-mailing or whatever. Tom, you take pics on WebTV with a video cam. WebTV lets you freeze the pic when you want (believe it or not, my old video cam had 22x zoom, got great jewelry pics). You upload 'em right on to your host site. In my case, Vendio. However, I agree that $24.95 per month was a very high ISP price, considering the speed. Oh, and the other good thing with WebTV is ... no viruses (or is it virii?) Too bad that Webbies can't use Vendio any more.

You can buy a perfectly functional used PC for $100 from any mom-and-pop computer repair shop. Time to leave the 1990's.

Thanks, Mummy, I was always curious about that!
YEAH, even NEW PCs can be had now for $600 with exceptional bells & whistles!
If yer eBay biz is serious, then a PC truly is a MUST...

You're welcome Tom! I just bought a new HP Pavilion with the media package and a flat screen monitor. It's great for eBay. WebTV is good for seniors and the disabled. I gave my old Webbie to a lady that is crippled with rheumatoid arthritis. She can only sit in her recliner; sitting at a computer desk is out for her. She is just delighted, she can e-mail and instant message with her friends all over the world. I think those that scoff the most probably have never used a WebTV unit. It is more versatile than most people think. Anyway, even though I'm a PCer now, I am rooting for all you Webbies!

your right earthmum-I have never used one, so I guess I shouldnt knock it.That elderly lady having one because she cant sit at a computer desk is a great idea. When I get into my late 90's or early 100's I'll probably have one myself sitting in my recliner with a messager...checking out the porn sites

To all who think only granny`s use Webtv, this is the only internet device that can be used with one hand only. I had a bad sawmill accident in 1970, have to use my left hand, tried a computer, could`nt work the mouse and keyboard. Webtv is a godsend for me, allows me to make a living during the cold winter months in Minnesota! Mike

Wow, Mike ... good for YOU! ... i never looked at it that way before! ... i watch my Mom use webtv (she doesn't need internet access too often), and every time i visit there and need to check on my things, i need to re-ask her how to get around on it.
