You cannot do online delivery confirmation for media mail or first class. You must go to the post office for those.

You can do online DC for priority or Express Mail.

I have been able to do online delivery confirmation for Media, Parcel Post, etc through PayPal. There is a charge of 20 cents to PayPal and the DC will cost 13 cents.

Hope that helps.

If you are wanting to print the address labels with Delivery Confirmation but no postage, you can use the USPS Shipping Assistant for all classes of mail, including First Class and Media. Delivery Confirmation is free on Priority, and is .13 for all other classes...

Just watch out if you install Shipping Assistant with any version of Adobe Reader *above* 6.0. It may or may not work correctly (didn't for me). Doesn't seem like USPS is updating that application anymore either.

You can get around the problem with Shipping Assistant not playing nice with the latest version of Adobe.

Instead of using the Display Label button from inside SA, make a Taskbar or Desktop shortcut to the SA_label.PDF that contains the Adobe label. Click that and up pops your label, ready to print.

Also, I've discovered a way to speed Adobe up, using a shareware program:

Oh, and the USPS had a questionaire about the SA program I filled out not long ago, including a place to make comments about what needs improving, so maybe they do plan to continue support for it.
