Is anyone here offer the Ebay trading assistant service? If so do you use Vendio for your consignor management. I've been using it for years with regular auctions but it has some drawbacks when managing consignors and commissions. I sent a message asking Vendio asking about it but got no response. Is there a feature I'm missing here or is there a better service for this? Thanks!

stc ... nothing 'special' offer from vendio as of now for consignors ... but there was a good article regarding consingnor software in auctionbytes last newsletter. ... go to auctionbytes.com to see it (i think)

IMHO there is not a better service for consignors. I've looked in depth at ResaleWorld's offering, which I think is expensive. It appears to have been developed by adding eBay capabilities onto B&M consignment shops, and does not "understand" the Trading Post workflow.

Meridian has a product that's okay, but it is missing things.

I have looked at others, and remain with Vendio. I have an Excel/VBA front end for accepting items from consignors, a related Excel/VBA sheet for tracking items (we have two stores, so we can't always yell "hey, where's the Lladro eagle?" to each other). Vendio fits in the middle, and then there is one more Excel/VBA workbook that tracks listed and finished auctions, handles payments to consignors, etc.

I once tried to get ResaleWorld and Vendio to talk, but nothing ever came of it.

If I weren't so busy, I'd consider developing some software that really worked. As far as I'm concerned, the existing and available products are not a big plus; my admittedly unpretty software that I've rolled myself is better.

I have been doing T/A for the past 2 yrs. I have no problem using the Vendio templates just like my regular auctions. The buyers don't know the difference & have a written contract with each consigner.
