at least you didn't get a negative. I got one a few months ago for no reason at all.

Two of my recent favorite with newbies...The first gives me a neutral because she paid twice with paypal, and the reason was is that she was confused about the process. She said it was not a positive experiece, so because ebay is confusing, she gives me a neutral, great!...I promptly refunded her, and in fact she paid a 3rd time which I refunded as well.

The other was an item that sold well, I emailed the buyer after 2 weeks, they said to cancel the order. I told them it was not an order, but a bid on ebay was a binding agreement to purchase, and by not going through they may jeopardize their ebay account. They said they would risk it and not to contact them again (I did file a FVF though)

Oh, here is my favorite that had a happy ending for me! A Canadian purchased an item, and just bugged me like crazy about shipping. I answered all their questions, told them the quoted rate was for airmail to Canada, that it takes 7-10 days to get there, does not include a tracking number, etc. They could pay to have the package registered, but it would not get there any faster unless they paid overnight and that was very expensive. They gave me their credit card, with no additional info so I shipped it regular airmail. A few days later, they start going nuts saying they authorized overnight shipping, which they NEVER did! She called me the worst ebayer possible (I just went over 6000 unique positives with 1 negative and a few neutrals, I hardly think that qualifies as the worst ebayer possible) and wanted to ship the item back to me when she got it for a full refund. She really got nasty. I told her this was her first transaction on ebay, and that if she stuck around, she would reconsider her opinion of me. I also noticed that she worked as a government employee and she was continually being nasty to me on work time. I decided to end it, I wrote a single message saying that I would like her to stop emailing me, that I am sure as the deputy whatever (her job title was in the signature of her email) that she must have a lot more important things to do while at work than to deal with an ebay transaction. She wrote back a short note that her job was not my concern, and I never heard back from her again...My guess is that my subtle jab let her know that if she caused me trouble, I would cause her a lot more trouble than she could ever casue me.

Wow, very nice, best I've ever seen.

Worst eBayer possible

It could only be a newbie that would make a stupid remark like that.

You didn't say how the buyer paid, but some people who use paypal expect you to ship that day or the next business day. Maybe put a note on your auction page that you ship within 48 or 72 hours of receiving payment so the buyer knows up front you don't ship within 24 hours.

In fairness to the buyer, I have bought from sellers who say they ship within 24 hours or the same day they receive payment. Others say they ship once a week or twice a week and give the days they ship.

We might carry this to the point of obsessiveness, but if we're paid by 3:30PM, we want that package out on our 4:00PM pickup. We can't always accomplish that, but it's our goal.

It leads to a lot of positive feedback.

Sometimes I ship once a week, sometimes twice a week...could never say 24 hours or 72 hours. SOME people get orders processed within 24 hours and others within 6 days. I must be doing SOMETHING right though - Feedback Score: 6729

If my buyers pay thru BidPay or send MO, they get next day shipping. If they spend the extra effort, I'm willing to ship asap. (I DON'T ACCEPT PAYPAL!)

This seems like someone is a little over sensative. You got a positive. In a week or so, it will be buried where no one is going to look at it anyway.
