I used to know the maker but I can't remember. I thought it was Homer Laughlin but can't locate it if it is. I've searched ebay and replacements and just can't get it. Thanks guys & gals.

I have seen so many pieces of this pattern, but just don't know.
Have you posted the picture on the Pottery Board on Ebay? I have gotten a lot of good info there.

I don't know the pattern, but this is Red Wing Pottery. Go to Replacements.com & check the Red Wing section.

I tried looking it up, but no luck. I've seen the pattern before, but never paid too much attention to it. It's probably made by one of the lesser known dinnerware manufacturers, or a jobber logo by Royal.

Max, I was thinking Royal also. I've seen the mark and it bugged me so much that I just spent 3 hours trying to find it. It is not Laughlin, though they did do an eagle and lion in the early days.
I keep wanting to call it Tree of Life, even though it is not a traditional TOL pattern.
I'll sure be glad when Paws finds out what it is. I'm afraid it will drive me buggie <g>

I just finished looking through my book on makers too and couldn't find it. I have seen a piece of the same pattern with the name on it but can't remember it. It seems like it was Homer Laughlin but that doesn't help me much either. I know it is a known name whether it is a lesser one or not. I know this isn't worth selling but now it's driving me crazy trying to find the maker!
Thanks for the help.

Could it be Universal?

There is a similar one listed .... auction 3753816590 and it's identified as Marcrest Stetson Swiss Chalet.
Edited to add this from another site.
Stetson Marcrest Swiss Chalet Dinner Plate Made in early 60s by the Stetson China co. The pattern is "Swiss Chalet". These were given away at theaters and gas stations.

That is the very same pattern but on replacements there is no swiss chalet. There is a maker named stetson but that is all I could find. I don't think the seller has a grip on the maker. I will look through my makers mark book for the third time and see if I can find it.

It turns out it is pretty worthless but at least we know the maker! Great work Kiara. How did you find it on ebay? I looked under everything I could think of off and on for 3 days.

Glad to help....... I think this Stetson pattern was posted here on the EO a long time ago... to me it's deja vu.
Here is some more info on it.
