I have an account I just started selling on last month, sales are good, I'd a little over 3k in that first month. Yesterdy I get a powerwseller invitation. Strange since it is suppoed to be a three month trend of sales for invitation but I realized that they divided the month of sales by three and invited me to join as bronze level. OK, what the hell, I'll go ahead and join it with this account. Follow the destrutions and.... Sorry - you are not eligible to be a powerseller... Thank you for playing our game.
No big deal. Didn't understand why I got the invitation after only a month anyway. Of course this morning I got the..Congrats! You are a Powerseller email. Sure enough - that it be that funky little man.
Of course I have played right into their hands and my competitive nature will force me to constantly attempt to increase sales just to step up my status.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I just got my powerseller status returned to me yesterday also. I went about 9 months without it. Must be sales are picking up again. I really don't see that it makes a difference though...no big deal.

I agree. Powerseller status does not make more sales. In fact, I may even go out and state my sales have dropped slightly. Clearly have not increased them in any way shape or form. http://www.rense.com/general51/dump.htm

I was also invited to be a power seller and I said.........oh dam not again.........
about a year ago I was a power seller and thats when all my troubles started with my buyers, don't ask me why.
When I was dropped from the power seller my normal great customers were here again, why this happend to me I still can't figure it out. So Now I will see what happens this time. Plus Im kinda burned out from the last 4 months of heavy listing and selling that I might not last a month as a power seller.........lmao, which will be fine with me.

The way I understand it, they go by a 3 month average over $1000.
Since you were over $3000 for one month, it is automatically over $1000 average for 3 months.
Also, they are probably losing a lot of powersellers right now from the slow summer and want to keep the number up.

I've always declined to join the powerseller ranks, but funny thing is, that when I send email to customer service, I always get a reply from a "powerseller rep." Guess they read my numbers and it gets assigned that way. No complaint mind you, as I do seem to get quicker replies than before. Just don't want the little tag next to the name. I have had many customers tell me they will NEVER buy from a powerseller, as they assume they are doing big volume, and won't get even decent service.
