PMS maybe but I am SO ready for these elections to be over - mudslinging - backbiting - namecalling - my guy is better than your guy -
Maybe I just need to tape the next few weeks of programs that I want to watch and FF through the commercials. After a couple of hours of TV I'm snapping and snarling right along with them.
And the PHONE! They call with these recorded messages!
You'd think THIS would be one place we could come to and get away from it...but NO!
Can somebody just give me a pill so I can skip the next couple of weeks??!!

glassgrl: I made up my mind a long time ago, and voted today (there was a line to vote, so the interest is high.)Now when all this baloney comes on TV, I just hit mute. Or record on TIVO and fast forward thru the "Our man is better than your man stuff). Whatever happens, I have done my part.

I just hope that it is a clear victory, for whoever wins - no recounts and court decisions.
Thanks to my sick sense of humour, I'm actually amused by one of the local mudslinging commercials. Nick Clooney's opposition is referring to him as Looney Clooney. (I'm neither for or against him - he's running in KY, I live in IN and see the commercials on OH TV.)

HA! Not in the Democrats handbook. And just to be non-partisan on the EO, you don't think the Republicans weren't taking notes last election? We're guaranteed at least one riot in Florida with the old people slugging it out with their walkers.

not my Mom, in Jax ... (she doesn't need a walker yet) ... but she MIGHT take her teeth out and use them as a projectile.

It's really bad here in Oregon, we are one of the so called battleground states. Since we are all mail voting here, I have already voted. I have both parties calling me, it's really annoying! Can you believe they want money from me so they can bug me more. I won't make a political contribution, when I donate money, it is going to help kids, not help someone buy more television ads...

Ebayvet,
They call me all the time also, but I figured out how to get them to stop. I simply tell them that I'm going to write in the name of my candidate and vote for him. When they ask me who it is, I tell them it's Classicrock000. While they're sitting there with their mouth open making funny sounding squeeks, I hang up on them.
