1. ciao346 has suggested in a thread here that we have to manually change our service plan when we have a lower MB of photos--that Vendio won't automatically drop us down to a cheaper plan. Is this true?

2. I just checked my service plans in my two accounts. One account has "image watermarking" "chosen". I have NEVER chosen watermarking--ever! Now I'm thinking I'll have to check my account regularly to make sure that sort of thing doesn't happen again.

What has happened to Vendio?

1. This is true. When you go under the limit for a lower plan, you have to manually change it in My Account > My Service plans.

2. Regarding watermarking, when you switch payment plans or add payment plans, we provide a confirmation of the plans you have chosen. It's possible that you may have overlooked it but we will refund you for this. Please disable it and fill out the refund request form if you've gotten charged for watermarking.

Regards,

Sonya

I have asked where this refund request form is.

What a mess.

I thought I had a handle on this.

My plan is the Pay-as-you-go plan. I liked it that way. If I used the services, I paid. Now I guess I will have to remember to close my account if I decide not to list for a month or two.

My plan was changed from the 2.95 per month for image hosting to the 4.95. I understood it was based on peak usage - so if your image hosting goes down, it seems it would have to stay there.

I absolutely, totally, completely have no problem with paying something for image hosting. For these years, I feel I have gotten a real bargain and even paying, (if I do pay more), it will still be a bargain.

My problem has having to 'close' an account. I just don't seem to remember to do those things.

Isn't there a way these could be charged 'in advance', but on the first of the month and couldn't it be trigger by the first or existing pictures for that month?

Your going to love the "request a refund" or as I like to call it "could they make this any harder"
if they tell you the same way they told me. Here's what I got:

"You may request a refund for each line item by taking the following steps:

1. Go to My Account -> Online Statement. Locate the line item for the charge, and highlight and copy the Ref ID number.

2. Open a separate browser window. Paste the below URL into the browser's address bar. Note that this URL can be found on our site by clicking the "Got questions about this statement?" link on your statement, and scrolling to the "Does Vendio provide refunds?" section.

https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/request_refund.html

Paste the Ref ID from your statement into the form, and proceed to submit your refund request. We will be handling refunds on a case-by-case basis, so please be as clear and concise in detailing the problem as possible."

Let me know if you get a simple way to do it!!

Watermarking is automatically chosen when you change your acct. I went in to change my acct to a lower cost. When I checked after changing it, the watermark box was checked.

OK...what I gather here is that if I want to downsize my picture hosting to 3MB, I have to go in and do it myself. BUT....what if I want to use MORE photo space than the 3MB? Do I have to go in to my account and change THAT? I have a feeling that if I use ONE more photo over my limit, I will be automatically charged the higher price for the whole month.
What if I forget to delete a photo and it goes above my 3MB...say just for an hour or so? Will I be charged for the whole month??? My hair is turning gray over this...

ciao346 here again...I'll say it again to Vendio, if Vendio can "automatically" bump us up to another plan when our images exceed the plan we chose, then there should be NO REASON why Vendio can't "automatically" bump us right back down to the appropriate lower plan when our images are decreased. Seems very one sided with Vendio making lots of extra $$$, while the seller has to remember to constantly check and change plans..Fair??? I think not!
