Would appreciate all the advice I can get. I have been selling on ebay for 2-3 years and finally decided to open a store. I use vendio as my listing software but thought in the interests of 'getting all my ducks in a row', would switch to Turbo Lister. Ok, so downloaded turbo lister, which I absoutely hate and have opened a store, though not a clue as to what I am doing and with little, that I can find, help.
They can keep turbo lister, in my opinion. What a waste of time and energy. Not well set up or at least not like the easy two pages in vendio. As for the store, I'm wondering if I should go with a vendio store, as opposed to ebay and what the difference is? If anything like the listing software difference, I may have already answered by own question, but would appreciate your imput. Many thanks, Ruthie

There have been a few discussion recently on this topic. While an ebay store costs more, seems worth it to me (I have an ebay store, I don't do business with Vendio) - I figure I can create my own website instead of having a vendio store, but the advantage of ebay for me is that people do find me via ebay searches, and then buy more stuff or bid in my auctions. It is on the same site, as opposed to Vendio which means leaving the ebay platform. That is a big deal to some people.

You can use Vendio to list in your ebay store if you'd like to stay with Vendio - simply select the "store" format at the top. You will need to set up your store categories first and import them to Vendio to do that. I had a Vendio store before I had an ebay store and never sold anything (of course ebay store sales were pretty lackluster then too). Ebay stores may be more expensive, but worth it IMHO. Do check out the "ebay stores" discussion board under the ebay community boards - as Lindajean says, they are VERY helpful.
