Wow was I asleep when this happen?
I was trying to revise something in my account and I saw I was checked in for a calculator. That's great but I SURE WISH VENDIO WOULD LET US IN ON THIS STUFF!!!!!
Guessed at all my weights last night thinking I could edit them later - now I will need to do it NOW.
When will Vendio learn to use our email for such notices????

It's under Global Preferences - plus I looked at one auction - it's there.
I'm really please that they have this now - just in time for the big day!!!

... and you filled in the weight on the create listing page? ... i never used any of that part of the listing page before because i don't use fendio's 'checkout' system ...

so, if i fill that in now, it will create a calculator on the ebay listing?

... sorry i'm cornfused.

Yes it will. What have you been doing -editing with ebay. Now it would be a perfect world if that would transfer over to paypal?? It does with ebay's calculator.

Hi all,

I don't use Vendio checkout either and I haven't been putting a calculator in my listings.

What I'd rather do is use the shipping options fields, the ones to the left of the shipping calculator box.

If I fill these in will it carry over to my auction? I've been changing the shipping by revising after it's on eBay. Very cumbersome.

I'm also wondering if there's a way to see the calculator or shipping options before launch.

Hi Everybody

I don't think you have to use the checkout to have the calculator. You just choose the calculated shipping methods and put in the size and weight.

If you want to add a handling charge you can put that in your preferences and the amount will be added to the calculation.

I also understand that Vendio is planning to add UPS and FedEx to the calculator later on.

If you fill in all the info and then click preview where you choose the template, I think you can view the calcultor and shipping options.

I don't think you have to use the checkout to get the calculator but if you don't and they have used it to find out the shipping - your calculation may not match.
I don't really know how this is going work once the auction is over. I'm only guessing but if they use the check out - hopefully if they use paypal that's it automatic.

Hi all,

Full Preview shows only the descriptive part of the auction, not any of the other things. eBay Preview includes the listing fees but no other information.

From what I gather, because I don't use Vendio's post sale management, I can't use the shipping options. I send an eBay invoice and I'm not about to use anybody's checkout. PayPal works fine all by itself.

So I guess I'll just keep on revising and revising and revising and... well you get the idea.

Edited to add: I do put in eBay shipping detail but it comes up as Standard Flat Rate or something like that and there's only one place to enter an amount.

You can use the Post Sale without the checkout or auto messages. And it shouldn't cost any more if you are using Vendio to list.

If you're not using the PayPal checkout you don't have to worry about different shipping amounts.

The calculator is set up in a Global Preferences and check out is set up in post sales under Sales Manager so I think you could set it up without using the check out. I can't say for sure but if you don't have to have the check out button or send the WBN automatically - you would have it but only for use as a tool for bidders???
I'm so confused - I want all my toys in one box!!!!

Thanks for the help everyone.

I'm confused too...

I think I need to experiment with just one auction which I'll launch all by itself. No others set to go until I check it out.

Lucy,
I don't use Vendio checkout either. I do use the calculator and have had several good responses to it. (one buyer said in a note to me "Great place for the shipping calc. I didn't have to go all the way to the bottom of the listing to find out what you are going to charge to ship to me." It does show up in both of the previews on my listings. It is in the item description area where the normal "To be calculated at purchase" message was. I fill out the shipping choices and weight in the "Check out and Post Sale management" section of creating a listing. I just do NOT check mark the Vendio checkout or the WBN. I use Priority and Parcel post on mine. (I set these in Global Preferences after I checked it out and found it to be correct)
