I bought this large, um, thing from a dealer going out of business. What do I have here? Looks like carnival glass to me. Is it fair to call it blue iridescent in color? Grape or other pattern?? Compote or big glass thing? Need some keywords. If you think it isn't carnival glass, do tell.
It's 12" long, 8.5" wide, footed. Okay, here are pix:

yep, its carnival, yep, its blue, yep, its a footed bowl. looks like a 1970's piece. That's all I can say without doing some more research.
Need to identify manufacturer and pattern to get the best price. I'll let you know if I find more before someone else IDs it.

Roadsmith your taking a chance coming in here tonight with all the dogs around....
Maybe Indiana Glass, from the 70's. Glass just doesn't appeal to me anymore I have seen so much. It makes me want to clean out my China Cabinet and leave it empty.

Thanks, everybody. As usual, you're a huge help. Kiara--I think you get the gold star tonight!
Libra--yeah, you're right about the dogs. Seems to me that you and I can agree to disagree because we're not calling each other nasty names in the RT. I respect and value you. Can't say the same for some of the potty mouths over there. Horrible, sometimes, isn't it?

I have two of these. One just like yours and a milk white one. Both in the same pattern. The white one is still in it's original box. Both a packed away in one of my many ebay boxes. If I remember right, the pattern is not called "harvest" as the listed site shows but something to do with grapes. maybe there are atleast two similar patterns. Yes, I think there are! I have to go to work this morning or I'd dig through and find the name for you. maybe someone else knows. If not, I'll search for it tonight.
