One of eBay's big power sellers was killed yesterday in a car accident. He and his father sold expensive antiques.
We had just had our first snow of the season and he turned in front of a snow plow and he wasn't wearing he seat belt. He was 41 years old. The paper said if he had had his seat belt on he would have lived. Remember whether you live in a snow belt or sunny skies and your distance is a short one or a long one use your seat belts.

It's a good reminder, I still can't believe how many people do not wear seatbelts. I didn't start wearing one until 1984, when it became the law where I lived. Now, I can't imagine being in a car and not being buckled up. It's just not worth the risk!

I have a different take on seat belts. I know there are hundreds of people who would be alive if they had been wearing their seat belt. But when I had an accident, my only one, I was only 17 and it was before much was being said about it. The only thing that saved me was that I was wedged in between my bucket seats. The police said if I had been wearing my seat belt I would have died. Now, every time I get in a car I think about that.
Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.
