I purchased some items on ebay that hadn't arrived for some time. When I asked the seller about them, he showed me that the posting said "usually ships within 30 days". What??? OK, my fault for not reading well enough.
So, I waited and when the package finally arrived, he had sent me only half my items (2 of the three arrived broken). He said he would refund the money for the two broken ones, stating that he had double bubble wrapped them. I "reminded" him that he hadn't. (In fact, they were moving around losely in the bubble wrap envelope.) He said he would check around for the other items. Ever since, he has ignored all my emails.
He has been posting other stuff on ebay, so I know he hasn't changed his email or anything .... just ignoring me.
Its been over 60 days now. What can I do about it? Pretty soon its going to be too late to even leave him bad feedback.

Contact eBay & explain the situation. Did you pay with PayPal?. You might be able to collect with Buyers Protection. Also were the items insured?

I did contact ebay but they weren't much help. I did buy insurance and I did pay with paypal. I'm not as worried about the broken items as I am the missing items. The missing items were the more desired ones...and higher priced.

Logansdad is right...I tried this once with a customer who didn't pay. She lived in a small town in California. I got the address of the Police Department from the town's web site and wrote a letter. I was ASTOUNDED one night when I actually got a telephone call from a Police officer! He contacted the person. I also filed an internet fraud report. It was lengthy and I don't remember the web site/address. Within 3 days, I received an e-mail from the customer asking me to "call off the dogs" AND payment! Good luck! I don't think you'd get the same response from the police in NYC or Chicago but I'll be forever grateful to that wonderful police officer who was on night duty and, I think, welcomed the opportunity to do help me out!
