Well, now I've gone and done it! I thought I would try Endicia. I knew that in order to download Dazzle, I would have to uninstall Shipping Assistant, which I did. Well, I can't print labels out of Endicia because my computer resources are too low. So I cancelled Endicia, uninstalled Dazzle, and reinstalled Shipping Assistant.

Now I can't print labels in Shipping Assistant. I keep getting an error message whenever I try to display the label, that says "There is a problem trying to use the image display module. Use an external viewer application to view the labels." I tried to open up my Adobe thinking that would help, but it doesn't.

I tried to uninstalled and reinstall Shipping Assistant, but I still get the same error. I've been playing with this all afternoon. I've rebooted umteen times, tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe and still I get the same message.

I checked the user's guide for Shipping Assistant but nothing is mention but there is no troubleshooting section and there is nothing that mentions this error.

Please help if you can.

Just curious why you had to uninstall shipping assistant? I keep both installed without a problem here.

You've done what I would do, uninstall and reinstall acrobat. What version of windows are you using, if you are using XP you might want to set your computer back a day or so.

Now that you can print labels, pay for shipping & insurance with paypal, is either of these really needed??
In the rare case that someone does not use paypal, you can still go to USPS website and print & pay.
Just wondering what the advantage is now?

msbiz you could of said computer help. I thought you needed the ebay sales assoctiate help or whatever.

you probably are low on resources. go to your control panel and unistall anything and everything you can.

if you have a lot of photos they take up a TON of space. delete or move them over to a cdrom if you can do that.

you will probably just have to delete, defrag or go buy a new computer. I don't know about the other shipping assitant. I'll look around and see what I can find.

ps Give me the EXACT word for word error message........

Glassgrl ... This the exact wording "There is a problem trying to use the image display module. Use an external viewer application to view the labels."

I'll also delete as many pics as I can. I do delete all of my pics once I upload them to Vendio.

My system resources right now stand at 51%. Is that too little?

Diane - what version of Adobe do you have?

Also, on the main page of Shipping Asst - do you have "Use Your Windows/Internet Explorer Proxy Settings" checked?

Just as an aside:

When I installed Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 a few months ago, all HELL broke out on my PC -- Ralphie ran & hid under the couch for a day I was so grumpy

Every time I would try to CLOSE "AAR-6," my PC would FREEZE UP & I'd have to hard boot (OUCH!

Anyhoo, TMALSS, I just happened to notice one day that Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 was still on my PC! I had ASSUMED (I KNOW) that the installation of "6" would be OVER 5 -- but NOT so...

Anyhoo, TMALSS, I un-installed 5 & "Violin!"

ALL MY PROBLEMS DISAPPEARED & I REGREW A FULL HEAD OF BLOND HAIR, GOT A NEW LIFE, & DISCOVERED "DIANETICS" by L. Ron Hubbard...

So, the MORAL of this sad but depressing tale is...

...to be continued...

OMG ... Tom ... That could be it!!! I did uninstall my Acrobat 5, too. I bet that must be the problem. How can I get it reinstalled? I cleaned out my recycle bin.

WGM -- I have Acrobat 6.0.1 and I deleted out my 5.0 (as stated above). I bet that is what the problem is. I don't have it in my recycle bin either.

I am just kicking myself in the butt right now. When I saw how low my resources were, I started uninstalling everything that I thought I didn't need anymore.

Bizzy -- tis more likely all the JAVA that comes in SA!

I always found DAZZLE to be a quick & innoucious (sp) program, but NOT so with SA, which I found to be a CLUNKY HOG & I have a HUGE processor (3.2gHz)

Before ya start yanking out all yer PC's goodies, how old is yer PC? What kind of goodies are in it.

Are ya sure ya didn't just pick up something nasty around the same time ya tried DAZZLE??

Have ya run a V-scan lately??

Go here & run the FULL tests & see what's happening inside -- tis FREE

what happens is that the programs are still in the registry and trying install one on top of the ones in the registry CAN cause an error like that.

I can't find anything in Goggle on that error.

You might have to try calling that number tomorrow.

However, 51% should not be considered low in resources! I would call that pretty darned good.

I still have and use Endicia. I like having all the addresses in a database that I can look up at anytime and run a status report on. Delivered? When?

Bizzy, maybe you need to put in more memory in your computer. It's easy to install and then you would have the room.

You haven't uninstalled Adobe 5 yet. Go into your Add/Delete programs. Go to my computer on your desktop, click on control panel there you will see Add/Delete. See if Adobe 5 is still on there and if so delete it from there and then reinstall Adobe 6. That should help.
