I mailed a package parcel post from Cleveland to Illinois on 12/6. I've been tracking it. On 12/10 it ended up in PA (took 4 days to get one state over). Today, it just left MO. From Cleveland, Oh to Normal IL? It's taken more of a vacation that I have in two years!!

I think it depends on how close you are to a major hub.
I'm in Queens, not far from LaGuardia Airport. Anything to or from Texas travels like greased lightning because it's no doubt coming/going from the hub in Houston.
But sometimes addresses that are much closer in the NE take longer.
