I received an e-mail which looked very much like it had come from one of my auctions. It simply stated "I like your item. How much is shipping to CA?"
First off, I NEVER click the "respond now" button. I always "reply to" (in AOL) the message. I checked the senders ebay ID and it was all mens tools and football jerseys.
I then clicked "reply to" in AOL and it showed up "ebay yadda yadda yadda.com".
Needless to say, I'm glad that I didn't click "reply to". This is how so many are duped into giving out their ebay ids and passwords.
So be careful, my Vendio friends. If it looks iffy, don't click.

Excellent point made by bizzycrocheting. It did not seem secure to me to have such an inquiry come to my email and then need to add my ID and password to respond. The senders email address is again on the lower portion of the message and clicking on that brings up a new email screen without giving ID and password. Of course I need to cut and paste the subject in the new email. Not very astute of Ebay in this instance, and very inconvenient. Just can't be too careful!

So are you saying that now Ebay has 2 different features that request log in.
The sales report now the question response. Hmmm, Ebay, you should get your act together. God knows that you have enough programmers on your staff changing things on a daily basis. I think that I am growing cynical as I get older or is it just that Ebay is making me crazy.
