June?

MAYBE around the end of June. Maybe never again. We have no way of knowing whether or not eBay was happy with the results of this last one.
I'd bet on more half-price fixed-price days soon.
eBay STORE free-listing day would be my guess for January.
A true across-the-board FLD will probably never happen again.

Don't hold your breath for the next 10 cent listing day, or for that matter, any listing day that gives the seller a break. eBay is getting very "stingy."

FLD is a monster that ebay hates. Ebay makes a lot more money off of Listing fees than FVF. This they know quite well. We are witnessing a shift in ebay business structure which is not readily apparant. We will not see another FLD in ebay business structure. Also we will proably see very few 10 cent listing days. They are going with 1/2 price listings or something of equal value. Yes many will quit the auction business altogether as the promotion of auction sites fases out. Ebay is willing to suffer lower listings in order to end the free promotional phase It is a shift from auctions to a retail business for small business owners. If we compare the listings of last year at this time to the 10 cent listings fees we will see a large drop in listings which has marked the downward shift of ebay's business.
People at first enjoyed the thrill of auctions with the ideal of getting a bargin. But as fees have increased and only 20% or so of items sell as compared to 90 to 95% a few years ago, people have relied more upon FLD than ever before. Some people only list on Promotional days. Now it looks like these will be lost also. What will be the next big Fad company to come along?

Next Christmas will probably be .50 cent listing day. We will probably be loving it because by then the cheapest normal listing fee will be $1.00
