"concerning ebay item #?????????????

I want to buy three of these. Please send me the combined total and I will Paypal the money immediately."

Does eBay consider this an off-eBay sale? The one I had listed did sell to the person asking the question. Normally, I wouldn't worry about this, but I've gotten a BUNCH of them lately, and it's starting to make my paranoia kick in.

The answer is YES! I don't know what they can do about it, but they want you to list all of them so they can get their greedy paws on your cash.

Just to stay on the safe side, I would just make up a listing in your store and have them purchase - combine shipping with the other order. I figure that the little bit you'd save in FVF wouldnt be worth the risk of selling off ebay.

Susposedly, there is the Urban Legend concerning feeBay employees posing as buyers, drooling to get their grimey little claws into the backs of sellers who fall for this one...

Soooooo...

To be on da safe side.....

Everytime I get one of these, I launch a STORE listing (in the TEST cat) & send the "buyer" a link...

About 50% bite...

I'm not sure I understand the problem. If someone buys a widget from me on Ebay, then asks if I have any more of them, I'll gladly sell them off Ebay. Sometimes I'll have, say, 6 plates and sell four of them together. If the buyer asks if I have more, I respond that I have two more, additional cost + shipping will be $XXX. Ebay is not being cheated. I have not ended my listing on Ebay and sold the 4 plates OFF Ebay. I am only selling additional plates to the same person.

Are you all saying this isn't legal with Ebay? What business is it of theirs what I sell without their sterling assistance?

If they bought the one you had on Ebay,OK.
If the others were never listed on Ebay, what buss is it of theirs?

If you put your car in the front yard for sale, and someone bought it!

Would you worry if it's an off Ebay sale?

If you use an auction management service with a checkout (Vendio)the buyer is given the option to continue shopping. They shop from your non-eBay store. Isn't that the same thing?

I sell a lot this way. That's why I keep the Vendio store.

If your worried about E bay, hahahaaha, finding out your off e bay sales, just pick up the phone....I assume this is the Reason they list their number right in the auction...having trouble with your order? just call our number, and be sure to ask about our other items NOT listed on e bay. Once they collect their FEES it's NONE of e bays business after that.

Replay - Sell it and breath easy!

Bidder won the item listed on ebay and ebay recieved all of the appropriate fees. After the fact, the BIDDER approached you about supplemental sales. You are not required to sell every item you have have thru ebay and only thru ebay.

You cannot approach the bidder about an off site sales, and you can not cancel an auction oin order to sell off site but you can certainly sell your additional income to an existing customer if they ask about it.

Wow,
For once Fenix and I agree. Ebay has nothing to do with it. Only you and the buyer. Sell the other two. Send the invoice. Keep the extra money. Move on.

Have a nice New Years.

Of course sell it to them.
Contrary to what people think here, ebay does not own the internet and you do not owe them 10-30% of what you sell, etc.
You already do all of the work in order to use a botched up ebay software program that was written about five years ago.

Ebay thinks they are owed a part of every transaction and I will be so happy when sellers finally get off their ebay drug and realize this.
You do all of the work and ebay make the money.

WAKE UP
