This past auction cycle, about 90% of my winning bidders were from California. A few months ago, about the same percentage were from Pennsylvania. Anyone else have majority of bidders from one state and anyone have any idea why this should happen on occasion? I think it's really strange!

I have the majority of my bidders coming from Pennsylvania too. But I think its really just because my items all have something to do with the history and culture of Pennsylvania.
I sell mostly rare books and Pennsylvania German realted items, lots of persons all over the US and Canada buy my items, the buyers always seem have some kind of a connection with Pa.
Oddly enough I did have a rash of California buyers for a while too. Go figure.

I haven't had anything like that, but a majority of my buyers are from the East, very few from here in CA. I have no idea why this happens.

Being in the midwest, I find that ending times often dictate what area of the country ends up bidding. Evening times are generally better for the west coast and afternoon ending times tend to do better east.

I always end my auctions at 6PM CST...just think it's odd that, in some weeks, most of my winning bidders are from one state. This week, it was California. The items I sell don't have any particular connection to a particular locale...maybe it's the phases of the moon.
