I make the majority of the items I sell so I have sort of an endless supply of them. One item I sell is particularly popular right now so I listed an auction in a quantity of 5. The items are $5.00 to list and normally cost me $.35 to list. When I listed the quantity of 5 it only cost me $.60. If I had relisted that auction each time after it sold it would have cost me the $.35 each. Why the differnt costs? Is it better to list in quantity?

Some how you are getting a bargain. If you are only getting charged .60 for listing 5 items at 5 dollars, take it and run.
It is cheaper to list in quantities, but some items don't sell well like this. You have to test the waters and see.
Your best bet would be to open a store. You could put an endless supply in there for 3 cents a monts. The cost of the store is only about $10 a month. If you come across something that won't sell, it cost almost nothing to sit on the selves. It would also be good for slow movers. Things that do sell, but not everytime you put it on.
I had one figurine that I couldn't get rid of. I would stick in an auction every now and then hoping someone would buy, but they never did. After I opened the store, I put it in there and stuck it front and center on the "SALE" page. It finally sold.
And if you get behind on listing, you will still have something up for sale.
Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.

Yeah I didn't think it was right but I had no idea what was going on with it. That's why I was confused.
I do have a store and I do keep a lot of stuff listed in it from my main items to stuff I tried to sell and it didn't go (like magazines and stuff). So I keep stuff in there and list it cheaply but I have a couple items that I sell quite a few of over and over and I thought instead of keeping relisting the same thing it would just as easy to quanity list it.
