Is yahoo owned by ebay. i seem to remember reading that some time ago. can someone confirm this or disprove it. thanks.

Yahoo is an independant corporation. They had an IPO about 2 yrs. ago

Yahoo sold it's Australia operation to ebay some time ago. In turn, in other markets, ebay has sold out to Yahoo. That is probably why you are hearing the rumors as you are.
