I found this message at the top of the page when I was listing some items.
Warning: Your eBay authentication token will expire soon. You can update the token here
I clicked and all I found was a message that I must register on the sites where I list auctions. DUH! Hello? I am an eBay Power Seller and have been registered there under this ID for about 15 months. (I have no plans to change venues over the recent announcement of fee increases that do not affect me).

Your "token" is your authorization tho allow your listing program to launch auctions to your account without actually providing them with your site password. They expire once a year. Not sure how you renew from Vendio but in Works you just click on the token icon which takes you to the ebay pages where you "renew" your authorization for your listing serviceto access you account for another year.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Yeah, I just had five of my selling IDs turn red on Works too. I don't remember when these tokens were implemented, but they all seem to be expiring at once.
But they're kind nice. I changed a couple of passwords a month ago and didn't need to tell Works.
