Hi, all. A cousin's e-mails are very attractive--although sometimes a bit cutesy for me. She uses Incredimail and sent me the link. Some of the features are appealing, but I don't want to sign up for the free stuff until I know if anyone here has used this service and how did it work? Any glitches?

I'm mainly interested in adding a nice background (NOT cutesy) to my e-mails, especially to high bidders.

Here's the link:

It used to be labeled as having spyware in it. I don't know if it still is or not. Does your cousin run AdAware and/or Spybot?

I use the paid version, customer service is really fast. The only problem I have had is synching my computers to receive ALL emails on ALL computers.

It's not a service, just an email client to use with your present service. It's a wrapper around Outlook Express so most of its basic mail functionality is the same as OE.

I can't find any actual proof it's spyware. Incredimail certainly denies it on their web site. I've never seen it show up in lists of "hits" from spy scanners I've run on friends' computers that have it installed.

The only problem I've seen is if you send a short message go heavy on the graphics, some spam filters may see the message as an ad. (Look at some of your spam with images turned off. There's nothing left.)

Wow, thanks, all of you, and especially glassgrl! I'm not going to take a chance with even more spam coming my way; I get about 150 a day as it is.

I use incredimail (have been or a long time) and haven't noticed any increase in spam or spyware on my machine. None at all. I love it.

I know that I can now send email to AOL customers using the stationery with no problems at all.

Well, in that case, I see nuthin wrong with it -- thought it was a little cute for me, but, HEY! Ralphie loves the little puppy dog in the bottom R-hand corner of his window...

I have a friend that uses it. Every time they email me with it, the email is messed up in one way or another.

I won't touch it myself. KISS
