My daughter received it today and she says it is beautiful. There are no scratches on it, there is no cutting off of the LV. There are numbers in the purse. The hang tag is there. As far as she can tell it is real. She said the purse is bigger than she expected also. I guess there are two sizes of the Princess Purse and this seems to be the big one. Now that was quick shipping. She did mail it within 3 days by fed ex. and got here today.
I guess you could say after all the worry it turned out good....

So glad to hear the good news.
Fake or real doesn't matter, what counts is your daughter is happy.
Very nice of you to post a follow up, I know a lot of posters wanted to know the outcome.

When I needed a replacement hangtag for a Coach bag of mine, (Coach replaces them for free)I called and the first thing they asked for was the serial number.
If she is concerned, I'm sure she could call to verify. I see on their website, the US contact number is 866 V U I T T O N in San Francisco.

Fake or real does matter.
If it is fake, don't expect any kind of warrenty or company support.
And if it is fake, you won't have the quality of a real one.
And if it is fake, don't ever expect to resell it.
And if it is fake, don't expect any investment value.

Well I just saw the bag and it is beautiful. It is the size of the doctor bag and with all the markings. Also a serial number but, I think it might have been a second as one of the gold plates on the base is crooked. It probably doesn't stand up to the LV standard. If it is a fake it sure is a great one. It has bright colors. All areas are marked with the LV label. It has locks on the bag and on the coin purse on the front. She is very pleased and would never give it up. It's not my style as I prefer a much smaller one and I have seen the smaller one like this and it is really nice. But then it is way out of my price range.

Really, we're all glad it turned out okay for your daughter! It's not my style of purse either, but that doesn't really matter. What matters is that your daughter is happy with her purchase!!
I wouldn't sell these purses mainly because of this very discussion. The ones I have coming are clearly not designer although they look as nice and they are in my price range at least! I remember being young and spending tons of money on things that made my mother cringe. Ah, to be young.

Libra, I certainly was happy to see you post an update saying things worked out well & your daughter was delighted. But you already know that.
After I saw your picture I was thinking about buying the same purse. I didn't think it looked big, I like small shoulder bags somewhere around 10" x 6"
It was the colors that got me, loved them.
Now if that came in a smaller size I would buy it.

Well, I for one am glad you updated us on the purse. After reading your previous thread I noticed later in the day that a woman who's kids go to the same school as my kids has a purse like that. And to think all this time I figured it was just something she picked up at TJMaxx or something. I can't tell a 12.99 purse from a $2,500 one...but I'm such an ungirly girl I guess!
It was funny that I could recognize this purse, know what she probably paid for it and I even tried to notice (unobtrusively) if the thing had rivets, etc.
I think the purse had a different background...the one you pictured had a white background and her's had a black background.
Very interesting! I am so happy there is, at least, ONE happy ebay buyer out there and I hope your daughter enjoys her new purse for a long time! Thanks for the education, too!

I am paying attention and learning, Libra. It's a free country and I assure you I have spent money more frivolously. It looks like a well made purse and the design...is interesting and not bad to look at. But for the price I could get a custom bag made of leather with the accessories of choice. And initials carved all over it.
They're only stamps! And used old ones at that! (What about that purse)
Or,
OK, where do you plan to keep that POS? (On your side of the closet)
And,
You paid how much? (Read my lips)
Just being facetious.

You should really post the auction link on the clothing and accessories board. The purse "experts" there are always investigating these bags for potential buyers or helping people who are concerned they were taken.
If there was a paper hang tag on it, that is not a good sign, and LV does not wholesale either.
All the fakes have serial numbers too so that does not mean anything.

I sent the auction to eBay for brand infringements and it was never pulled.
There was no paper hang tag. Everything was leather trim, inside was sheepskin. There were numbers. The Name Louis Vuitton was on the locks.
If it is a fake it is a really good one. The LV logo was never sewn through.
I also think this was a second and I will bet that LV sends those bags to a wholesaler as I am sure they would never throw a bag like this away.
This seller has sold many a Louis bag since January and everyone seems satisfied with the merchandise but her shipping is slow.

Sorry I also meant to say. She is very satisfied with the purse. So no matter what it is she will never know.
She has about 6 LV bags and this compares to all the others which she bought either at the Louis store or Neiman Marcus when they sold them. I think she could put a good down payment on a house if she would sell them.

Well that is an amazing bargain then for a high demand bag, but if I were her I would want to know in the event I ever resold it. I suppose she could ask at the LV boutique when she goes.

She will never sell them. If you could see the handbags, she has, and I did suggest she sell some she said NEVER. I could never sell my handbags. Her husband buys them for her also. For christmas he was wrapping a purse for her and I said "Another Purse"!!!!!!!! This one was a coach. She has been either buying them or getting them as gifts for over 10 years. I can never win.....
