PayPal is useful in the US with it's fragmented banking system, but of little use for domestic Australian transactions as most Aussie banks offer FREE direct bank-to-bank account transfers, which can NOT be easily reversed. This is similar to the UK and EU where free bank transfers are the rule rather than the exception i.e. the US.

For international transactions Aussies sellers using PayPal are NOT covered so payments can be reversed once the buyer receives the item(s), or a credit card charge back done at a later date.

and vice-versa...

Maybe it's just me, but alot of people seem really paranoid about selling overseas with PayPal.

I make about 10% of my sales this way. I have never had a problem with chargebacks. Never even had a mail problem, while with U.S. sales I have had a chargeback and about 1-2% of my First Class packages never arrive.

I love the ausies, they send alot of money my way.

Fine print?

I am an American. I don't think I count.
