Wow,
Ebay pulled the listing. It has been on our local news for about 3 days now. Wonder what they will say on the news now. This isn't going to be good for ebay.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's strange that an auction like this can run for several days and be featured on every news service in the country but as soon as we start a thread about it on Vendio, Ebay nukes it??

And to think, back in the mid 90's, before we came along, they thought a 7 course dinner was a hot dog and a six pack.

I know it may be embarrassing if a girl doesn't have a date for the prom, but would it really be better if she has to go with some (not awesome looking) doofus doing this as a publicity stunt?

It did make me look at this eBay category though, and now I am depressed about the future of America.

Maybe eBay could start a support group for them, as well as for the large number of people "freaking" due to incredible weight loss.

Yikes!

Remember in "Mr Hobbs Takes A Vacation" and Mr Hobbs (Jimmy Stewart) pays "Joe" (??Fabian??) to dance with his daughter?

Thought if Ebay pulled an auction and you relisted it,you were automatically suspended.

Yah ... probably any minute now ... is he not READING what ebaY is telling him in the pulled auction? ... I think you have to offer some tangible item in return for your auction... like something they can keep? ... I do wonder why they pulled his other few auctions though ... it was for his silk shirt, a pair of sneakers ....

I'm also surprised his auctions are gone because it DID get so much national news attention ... even on the Cleveland news stations (yah, we have Cleve as our main tv stations here near Akron) .... what is he doing wrong????

Even in the 'Kill Frank' or whatever that auciton was about for the young boy fighting his tumor that he named Frank (short for Frankenstein), on that one I think the mom had an auction pulled then relisted offering to sell a bumper sticker of 'make Frank die' or something like that?
