Does anyone know where to buy these things? I need the teenie tiny ones that come in a package. You use them in crafts, Christmas ornaments and corsages.
When I do a search all I get is instructions for crafts and places to buy the ones I can pick up in my own back yard.

Gads, the tree in the backyard just sheds them! Less than an inch long, and they track into the house!

Have you tried Sequoia National Forest here in California? They have quite an assortment.
Parklane...I know what you mean. I cut down three pine trees here just to get rid of those things. You think it's bad to get them in the carpet, you should see what they do to a swimming pool.

We don't have those kind of pine trees here. The only kind of pine cones we have are big. We do use them for decorations, but they couldn't be glued on an ornament.
Yes, I looked at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Wal Mart and all the small craft stores. They don't have what I am looking for. But Louise does.

Since you all seem to think that this was a stupid thing to ask, I thought I would show you the kind of pine cones we have here. This is considered small. As you can see it will not work for my project.

That's a Coulter Pine Cone, isn't it, sthoemke?! We have them, too. Enormous and very heavy. There's a native plants nursery on the coast which I e-mailed a couple of years ago about something. They are dying for Coulter pine seeds and asked if we have any. I can't see a way to get the dang seeds out of them. The sharp ends get in the way!

Those mini cones come from a hemlock tree. The hemlocks have suffered from an oriental blight and many have died. I know, because I lost a beautiful old hemlock to this nasty bug. It looks like little bits of styrofoam on the branches. Anyway, that could be why there is a shortage of the mini cones.

Pat Catan's had them over Christmas. Don't know if they still do.
