Hey All-
Are Sellers protected when shipping internationaly when the buyer/recipent has a confirmed address?
Another problem, IE....Buyers purshaces something thier address isn't confirmed, you tell them to confirm it...they do...however your Paypal records still display/show an uncromfirmed address. Can anyone please tell me what they do in relation to shipping to only Confirmed addresses? This is a big headache, always having to email buyers in relation to telling them to confirm thier address, and then thier address still being displayed as unconfirmed.
Thanks,
RC

In 2004, I shipped more than 6000 packages to ebay customers. About 90% paid with paypal - I don't know how many are unconfirmed, but it seems like a lot. I would guess I shipped to thousands of unconfirmed addresses. Number of chargebacks in 2004: ZERO - Number of chargebacks since I started using paypal from unconfirmed addresses: ZERO - It's something I simply don't worry about. I ship to a lot of international addresses as well. As far as I know, no international packages are covered by paypal - I've noticed some are confirmed as well, but I suppose that might only be for their domestic purchases that there is a similar coverage.

I agree with ebayvet.

If somebody is trying to hand me money, why on earth would I want to limit or otherwise inhibit thier ability to do so?!?

A few horror stories floating around and people get scared. I have yet to see a horror story where the person is telling the complete truth.

Bottum line, I take ALL forms of payment. Cash, check, MO, PayPal, Credit Card or livestock trades. It's all good to me.

If the PayPal payment is over $250 I go for a confirmed address AND signiture confirmation upon delivery.

My 2¢,

-Rob

I agree with the above. I ship with DC and use Sig Confirmation on more expnsive items or buyers with questionable feedback.

Don't have a problem with it.

BTW, my PP shows me as unconfirmed everytime I buy thru Ebay, but their site shows me as confirmed and I have yet to figure that one out.

I have two PP accounts and they are both confirmed.
