Auction is over and she pays with PayPal but does not give an address. (Wonder how you can even check out without an address!?) I email, no response. I look at the Vendio check out and it says, in red, the shipping address is different from the billing address. Since there isn't one on paypal and Vendio has the warning should I send to that address using the Vendio checkout address or try to track down her real address?

In all my transactions I have never needed to contact a buyer like this. Where do I find the address on eBay? I looked through the site map but didn't any links.

Thanks, Louise

So did she give an address to Vendio?
Try sending her an ebay invoice - I think after you do that, it will show her address. You could put in the invoice that you will mail to her ebay listed address unless she lets you know not to.

Louise

Did you go into PayPal and pull up the details of the transaction? It should be there. And you can request the contact info from eBay. Here address will be there also. On the auction there should be a link to request the info.

Yes but Vendio red flagged it and a different address than the billing address. Thanks I'll try that.

Then that's the address she wants you to ship it to, but it's will be unconfirmed with paypal. Some sellers won't ship to an unconfirmed address so that is why Vendio flags it like that.
I ship if it's not too much money to lose.

Thanks for the link Debbie. The mystery thickens. The city & state for the ebay name is in Ma. The name and ship to address is in Pittsburg. I called the buyer and left a message. We'll see. I just don't want to send it to an adress that was put into Vendio and there is nothing in PayPal (which I would consider more official and legit for delivery confirmation purposes). It is a cheapy item (like most I sell) but who wants and repercussions and to use the time it takes to put bandaids on it. grrr

Go to Ebay, click on print shipping label.
See what comes up.

My ebay directed me to paypal and I get the same screen with all the address fields blank!

My daughter-in-law bought something recently on ebay. Paid for it, wondered days later why no response and no item in the mail. E-mailed the seller, who said someone else had contacted her and told her to send it to them--someone in another state, unrelated to our daughter-in-law. They got it straightened out, but it was scary.

Mystery sorta solved. He called and it is going to a friend in PA. But the fact still remains, how can someone purchase and pay through paypal without an address? Doubt I will ever find out the answer. Thanks for all the input and help.

Sending money without an address is easy. It is calles Quasi Cash. It is a simple form to use and sends cash just the same as any other method.

Problem is, it is not covered by the seller protection, but then again, your transaction wouldn't be anyway if you are shipping to another location than there confirmed address.
